• Nodal agency for production and supply of Muga/Eri basic Seed.
• Generation of seed cocoons through Adopted Seed Rearers for production of Muga/Eri dfls.
• Supplement the efforts of State Departments in production of commercial seed requirements of Muga/Eri.
• Adoption of Private graineurs for seed production support.
• Organization of extension activities for creating awareness of improved technologies/ improvement in quality seed cocoon production.
• Organization of Need based Training programmes for improvement in skill development/employability/ income generation for the benefit of stake holders.
• Holding Seminar & Workshop/Publish technical articles/research works in reputed journal.
• Implementation of Seri Model Village Programme (SMVP).
• Improvement of internal efficiency/ responsiveness/ service delivery of the organization.
• Ensuring compliance of the Financial Accountability Framework
